Sugar Ridge yoga group retreat

Reconnect with yourself during this spring weekend retreat!

This weekend is a relaxing escape from the everyday.  Giving you a break from taking care of others and allowing yourself to be nourished.  The Yoga is gentle, the forest hiking is fun, the food is delicious, and everything is optional.  No experience with yoga is required and absolute beginners are welcome.

Enjoy this time just for you! Let go of stress as you feel more centered and able to deal with whatever life presents.

Just being immersed in the Sugar Ridge environment is a naturally peaceful experience. This weekend is your time to relax, unwind, and reconnect body, mind and spirit as you become mindful of all that surrounds you and is within you. Listen to the birds, the breeze. Feel your heartbeat, the rise and fall of your breath.

This retreat will teach you key tools to better cope with the stresses of daily life and more fully experience life in the present, rather than getting caught up in worries about the future.  Explore all aspects of yourself: what you eat, how you eat, how you feed your mind, and how you feel in your body.

  • Cleanse and nourish your body with yummy organic vegan meals, while you also nourish your soul.
  • Come into physical balance with Yoga classes that will flex your muscles, as well as your mind and spirit.
  • Create your resilient emotional balance with Vipassana (mindfulness-based) meditation.
  • Have fun celebrating the beginning of spring with guided hikes through the forest.
  • Meet new friends and become your own best friend!

Throughout the weekend you are invited to explore various forms of mindfulness meditations including sitting, walking and eating, as well as mindful movement through yoga and skiing.

No experience with yoga or meditation is necessary! This retreat is perfect if you’re curious about it but not sure how to start or what to expect. This retreat is a perfect choice for you even if you have physical limitations to movement, little or no meditation or yoga experience. Beginners will discover how to sit comfortably, and experienced practitioners can deepen their practice. No need to sit on the floor if that’s not comfortable – chairs are always available, as well as guidance on modified poses.

Everything during your retreat is completely optional. This is YOUR time. If you need to sleep in then skip the early morning yoga session. If a massage is the nurturing you need, we can book that for you. Allow this time to be the kindest gift you could ever give yourself and honour your needs.
