Embracing Autumn: Higher Potential Living

the rich sensory experience of the fall season

One of the most wonderful parts of living in Ontario is the transformational experience of seasonal change. Autumn reminds us to shed what no longer serves us, to celebrate the fruits of our labour, and to go within as we prepare for our upcoming time of winter ‘hibernating’.

This 3-day, 2-night getaway at Sugar Ridge will offer you an opportunity to step away from the busy-ness of life in order to be truly present in the rich sensory experience of the fall season.

being an authentic observer of self

Life is filled with overwhelming stressors that often cause anxiety, depression, mood swings, strained relationships and a lower quality of life. The only two options we have are to either remove ourselves from that stress (which is easier said than done), or change the way we interact with stress. We aren’t usually taught how to change the way we interact with stress. Higher Potential Living does just that: combining elements of many different ancient practices on developing the mind, but using them in a way that works with our modern day lifestyle.

Through mindfulness and meditation, we focus strategically on strengthening different parts of the brain to gain control over how we respond to different situations. Over the course of the weekend we will go into the concepts of Higher Potential Living in depth, and practice techniques that help reprogram the brain to make this a new way of life.

This is an ideal retreat for those who are experienced in meditation, but also appropriate for anyone who is brand new to these practices. Options are always provided, and all sessions are completely optional…you are here to nurture yourself and participate in what serves you best.

Meet Your Facilitator

Jason Maraschiello

Jason started his mindfulness and meditation journey at the age of ten. In his early twenties his path was leading him into isolation, meditating for up to 8 hours a day. This was valuable for the development of Jason's own practice but didn't allow him to engage with others. Fascinated with the possibilities of the mind and wanting to reconnect with people, Jason set out to explore the world. He sold his possessions and spent the next few years studying and learning from Masters, Elders and Gurus of many cultures / beliefs in search of deeper meanings of life and success. After returning to North America, Jason continued his study of the mind and has since combined these Eastern philosophies with Western concepts of Hypnotherapy, Psychology and Neuroscience.
