Kids With Autism - Bring Your Family!

Monday, August 3 – Friday, August 7, 2015

Family fun!

Respite for parents!

Peer Support for Siblings!

Support for kids with autism!

This is a family retreat with everything you could want in a vacation.  We understand that family time is precious and sometimes when a child has autism it’s not so easy to get away on a traditional vacation.  This week includes respite programs for parents, outdoor adventures for siblings and of course plenty of fun for kids with autism.

Parents can enjoy some respite with time for peaceful forest walks, daily fitness classes, a round of golf, tennis or the decadent afternoon nap or book a massage, pedicure or manicure.  There will be facilitated group discussions for peer support, sharing resources Q & A with experts in the field of autism..

Siblings can have fun with creating a geocahce, GPS training, forest hikes, climbing trees, chasing frogs and even sleep in a tent if that’s an experience they’re missing.  There will be peer support discussions to talk about any challenges they have in coping with their sibling.

Kids with autism will have the support they need to participate in a range of  indoor and outdoor activities including crafts, co-operative games, time at the frog ponds and forest walks.

Everyone will be nurtured with fresh whole foods (we can tailor needs to any diet restrictions or allergies).  Gluten free is our norm in baking!
