Living Your Yoga: Taking Your Yoga off of the Mat

Deep Dive into Yoga

Are you curious about the deep benefits of yoga beyond the physical?
Have you been wondering about the history and philosophy and yoga?
Would you like to learn more about the Subtle Energies of yoga such as Chakras and Nadis?

Then consider joining RYT-500 and teacher of teachers, Jenny Jackson, for this 5-night immersion retreat which will help you take a deep dive into all of the 8-Limbs of yoga. This retreat is a beautiful opportunity to immerse yourself in the yoga lifestyle and learnings to enrich your own practice, whether you are brand new to yoga, or have plenty of experience. This retreat is open to all.

"The 8 Limbs of Yoga"

Yoga is much more than a physical exercise practice. Traditionally it is a philosophy for life.  The focus of this retreat is to explore the classical roots of Yoga by delving more deeply into what is known as “the 8 Limbs of Yoga” (Yamas/External Disciplines, Niyamas/Internal Disciplines, Asana/Posture,Pranayama/Breath Control, Pratyahara/ Withdrawal of Senses, Dharana/Concentration, Dhyana/Meditation, Samadhi/Union) through the lens of a contemporary Western lifestyle.

You will leave this immersion with a richer awareness of what ‘living your yoga’ looks like and feels like to you as a unique individual, and with tools to practically apply to everyday living. In addition to theoretical learnings, we will discover insights within the practice of the asanas/poses. This form of self-study supports a more intimate awareness of your own physical body in postural expression, increasing your autonomous ability to support your individual needs & limitations on and off of the mat.

No experience with yoga or meditation is necessary

This 5-night getaway offers the experience of stepping away from the demands of daily routine to be curious and introspective as you deepen your knowledge & understanding of yoga and self through wisdom, compassion & community.

No experience with yoga or meditation is necessary. All bodies are welcome – no level of physical fitness is required. You will do what serves your body, your mind, your soul.  Everything offered is optional
