Making Peace with our Bodies: Reconciling the Relationship with Self

Friday, March 18 – Sunday, March 20, 2022

The relationship that we have with our own self is undeniably the longest, and likely the most important relationship that we will have throughout our entire lifetime. Unfortunately for many of us, we struggle with finding acceptance and appreciation with the physical human form in which we inhabit. Negative self-talk, disordered eating, comparisons to others and to our past selves can leave many of us feeling ‘less than’ as we navigate our way through our days, years and decades.

This retreat is not about changing anything about your physical body, rather it is an opportunity to explore making positive shifts in establishing, or continuing to build, healthy habits, dialogues, and connections between your mind and your body. This program is about understanding that you are enough just as you are, and to create peace and love for yourself and your body. Your weekend will include:

  • yoga & meditation
  • a mindful exercise workshop accessible to ALL bodies designed to cultivate autonomy, self-awareness and intuition to empower you in movement
  • 2 workshops with Holistic Nutritionist Sarah Zinkie to support you in establishing healthy attitudes to nourishing your body free of diet-culture and food-shaming
  • a guided hike on our beautiful property
  • introduction to a self-compassion practice
