Mindfulness Leadership Retreat

Exploring the Core Roots of Leadership:

Courage, Awareness,

Compassion, Vulnerability and Curiosity

The Mindfulness at Work Leadership Retreat is designed for women leaders that are focused on cultivating mindfulness to enhance their experience and effectiveness at work and in life. This retreat will be focused on leading with courage, curiosity and compassion. The content will be grounded in a highly practical and scientifically based approach to understanding mindfulness and the important connection to a thriving life.

Core Learning Areas

  • What is Mindfulness? We will examine the many facets of mindfulness, the role mindfulness plays in a thriving workplace, and how mindfulness changes the brain. 
  • Courage, Awareness, Compassion, Vulnerability and Curiosity:  We will explore how these core elements are critical to our role as a leader and how mindfulness is critical to cultivate and bring these elements to life.
  • Making it Last: We will build an understanding of the importance of rituals for lasting change. The brain science and other important research will be examined, along with the application to work and life.

Desired Outcomes

The desired outcome of the Mindfulness at Work Retreat is for participants to leave with clear strategies to cultivate mindfulness, show up in bravery, and build compassion as an every day practice. The focus is to increase overall wellbeing as a leader with improved engagement, productivity, self-care and overall performance in the workplace.

Facilitators for the Retreat


Meghan Kirwin, MBA, MSc Meghan is one of the co-founders of Vitality at Work. Her passion is to support individuals and organizations to realize their full potential through the application of positive psychology.   She has a Master’s in Business Administration specializing in Leadership and Organizational Behaviour. She also has a Masters of Science in Applied Positive Psychology from the University of East London, England.       

 


Heidi Smith, RD, BSc.  Registered Dietitian.  Heidi is one of the co-founders of Vitality at Work.  She has been consulting for individuals and organizations for over 20 years.  Heidi provides a unique perspective by combing her expertise on nutrition and exercise with her passion for mindfulness, body awareness, self-compassion and creativity.

Fee Structure

  • $995 + HST for double occupancy (cabin shared with a woman attending the workshop)
  • $1,160 + HST for single occupancy (own cabin)

    *15% Discount if booked before February 20th, 2019
