One Breath at a Time

This is a weekend for you to unwind, undo and become inspired as you surrender to your open breath and expansive curiosity.

This dive into Nūma Breathwork is your opportunity for self discovery, growth, and rich personal experiences that will forever change you in beautiful ways.  Join Trevor to unlock the power of your breath to help you heal, recover and re-inspire.

In this weekend you will:

  • be supported in a confidential healing space
  • discover correlations between personal psycho-emotional patterns and your body’s tensions and breathing patterns
  • experience a variety of movement and inquiry practices to support deep release within the body, breath, and mind
  • enjoy a weekend of delicious healthy food, feel nurtured in nature, and laugh with new friends

If you are thinking of becoming a Nūma Breathwork facilitator, this immersion is equivalent to a Level One training in the Nūma Breathwork system. This is open to anyone to attend as an introduction to discover how your breath can help liberate you from whatever you may be holding in your body: stress, trauma, or emotional distress.

Nūma Breathwork is a transformational practice that strategically weaves together the power of Conscious Breathwork, deep bodily unwindings of somatic movement explorations, mindful somatic psychotherapeutic investigations, and the medicinal vibrations of sound therapy.

Nūma Breathwork is a psychosomatic therapeutic process, an insightful dive into non-ordinary states of consciousness, an exploration of the continuum of human experience, and a catalyst for resolving suffering.

What past participants have to say:

Breathwork has been the catalyst of change, both big and small. It has given me the opportunity to deeply feel past trauma without judgement, and release the residual anxiety and stress from the system permanently. I would highly recommend the work to those who are willing to make a conscious step towards inner peace and freedom.

 Tanya M, Calgary

I took the Breathwork facilitator training course with Trevor in 2014 in Victoria BC. Without a doubt, the course absolutely changed my life, and has set me on the most beautiful path. To say my soul got rocked, my mind got blown, and my heart got cracked open is an understatement. Since the training, I have been working one on one with people, as well as leading group Breathwork sessions. I absolutely adore working with people and witnessing their journeys, and I have had much positive feedback from clients. Breathwork gives people the opportunity to be real, raw and open in such a safe space. In a world that is so emotionally guarded, I deeply believe Breathwork is a needed potent healing tool. Trevor is such an amazing teacher, and I feel so blessed to have studied with him. He is so supportive, present, and knowledgeable. I’m pretty sure he is a walking talking human library. I can’t wait to continue learning from him, and take more of his trainings. Whether you want to facilitate Breathwork, or just dive into the depths of yourself, the nūma somatics training will most certainly shift your soul.

Meet Your Facilitator

Trevor has explored and studied a wide array of bodymind practices and healing arts over the past 21 years.  The richness of these studies, the gamut of his life experiences, and a deep curiosity about the seamlessly inter-connected mechanisms of mind and body have led to an increasingly integrated approach to healing.  Nūma Somatics was born out of this ongoing exploration and integration.

Trevor has delved into numerous healing arts and traditions including Acupuncture, Bodynamic Somatic Psychotherapy, Transformational Breathing, Chi Nei Tsang (Abdominal Massage), Visceral Manipulation, Acutonics® Vibrational Healing, Tuina, Thai Massage, and Bodytalk.  His perspective on healing practices has also been greatly influenced by a myriad of experiences with numerous personal and spiritual growth group processes, North American and Peruvian Shamanism, and a wide range of personal practices including Shaolin Kung Fu, Tai Chi, Qigong, Hatha Yoga, Raja Yoga, Jnana Yoga, Vipassana, Contact Improvisation, and Continuum Movement.  He is currently and studying the renegotiation of trauma through the work of Peter Levine, Somatic Experiencing.

In addition to his therapeutic work, Trevor has taught Yoga for 15 years, co-developed and co-facilitated 200-hour yoga teacher trainings for both Trinity Yoga and Gaiatri Yoga, and developed and facilitated Conscious Breathwork Facilitator trainings.  Trevor has had the blessing of sharing these trainings and related workshops all across Canada as well as leading yoga retreats in Canada, Costa Rica, and Peru.
