11:30am-2:00pm – Lunch & Learn Session – Mindful Eating & Healing Foods, Exploring the HOW and WHY behind adopting a more Plant-Based diet

3:30           Hands-On Fermented Foods Workshop – Work together to prepare coconut kefir, kimchi and sauerkraut allKim Chi while delving into the world of Prebiotic/Probiotic Foods and how they can impact your gut health.

Mike MurdochMy yoga journey started in the summer of 2013. I grew up overweight; hitting nearly 240 pounds by the age of 13. Having struggled with weight and body image issues all my life, I had never found any form of physical activity that stuck. One September evening a friend, who had just finished yoga teacher training, came over for dinner and taught a private practice session. What originally had been a gesture to help a friend turned into a completely life changing 45 minutes. That night was the start of a journey that transformed my life forever. Within a year I was a certified yoga instructor myself and immediately started teaching classes to anyone that would come.

After finding my yoga mat, this journey has allowed me to find deep inner calmness and self-acceptance. Through this practice, I began to transform not just physically but emotionally as well. I now strive to spread this passion for yoga and mindful eating with anyone who’s willing, and firmly believe that yoga and a healthful diet, in some form, are accessible to everyone.

Off my mat, I’m a Cordon Bleu trained chef in both Cuisine and Pastry. When not teaching yoga, I work as a freelance consultant; developing recipes for some of Canada’s largest food retailers. I’m also a certified Culinary Nutrition Expert; using knowledge as a tool to help people heal holistically with food. My true passion is helping individuals live more vibrantly through mindful eating, nourishing food choices, and a committed yoga practice.

$545 + HST for Semi-Private Accommodation (2 Guests Per Cabin)

With social distancing protocols in place, you will need to book semi-private or private accommodation if you are attending as a single.  If you are coming with someone you can share with please book semi-private (2 ppl) or shared (3 – 4 ppl) accordingly.  Max group size will be determined by the gathering limits allowed at the time of the retreat.
