Reset & reconnect with yourself during this winter weekend retreat!

This retreat has a focus on fun, relaxation and an opportunity to explore mindfulness practices aimed at stress reduction. Enjoy this time just for you!  Let go of stress as you feel more centered and able to deal with whatever life presents.

Just being immersed in the Sugar Ridge environment is a naturally peaceful experience; in winter, it’s magical. You can often hear the snowflakes fluttering to the earth in the stillness here! This weekend is your time to relax, unwind, and reconnect body, mind and spirit as you become mindful of all that surrounds you and is within you. Listen to the birds, the breeze. Feel your heartbeat, the rise and fall of your breath. 

This retreat will provide you with tools to better cope with the stresses of daily life and fully experience life in the present, rather than getting caught up in worries about the future.  Explore all aspects of yourself: what you eat, how you eat, how you feed your mind, and how you feel in your body. 

  • Cleanse and nourish your body with yummy organic vegan meals, while you nourish your soul.
  • Come into physical balance with different styles of Yoga classes to flex your muscles, and still your mind and spirit
  • Have fun celebrating the snow with hiking or snowshoeing through the forest.
  • Meet new friends and become your own best friend!

Sugar Ridge yoga group retreat

 

No experience with yoga, meditation is necessary! This retreat is perfect if you’re curious but not sure how to start or what to expect. This retreat is a perfect choice for you even if you have physical limitations to movement, little or no meditation or yoga experience. 

Everything during your retreat is completely optional. This is YOUR time. If you need to sleep in then skip the early morning yoga session. If a massage is the nurturing you need, we can book that for you. Allow this time to be the kindest gift you could ever give yourself and honour your needs.

3-5 pm         Arrive and settle into your cabin
5:00             Meditation and Gentle Yoga 
6:00             Dinner 
7:30             Yoga Nidra Relaxation

Tuesday

7:30am        Rise & Shine Yoga…or sleep in!
9:00             Breakfast 
10:00           Guided Snowshoe or Hike (bring your own or Wye Marsh will provide)
1:00             Lunch
2:00             Mala making
4-6               free time
6                  Dinner
7:30             Happy Hips Gentle Yoga

Wednesday

8:00am           YinYang Yoga  
9:30am           Breakfast 
11:00              Guided Snowshoe/hike or stay in and chill
12:30pm         Lunch

Depart at your leisure, or stay and enjoy the property.

Meet your Facilitator

Jenny Jackson has been immersed in education & leadership for more than 20 years. She holds a B.Ed, RYT-500, and Health & Lifestyle Coaching certification through York University. Jenny is a seeker of inner well-being, and she consciously aligns herself living with an open mind, an open heart and embodies joy & vitality which is reflected in her welcoming & inclusive style of leadership. Jenny believes that feeling vital and in harmony with others & within our own selves is the primary goal (in life and in our bodies), and practice should reflect this.

Expect well-planned, responsible, creative & intuitive instruction within Jenny’s classes and retreats. Trust that your needs will be supported and a sense of inclusion & community will always be a focus. Jenny takes her offerings (but not herself) very seriously, so you can relax and be yourself as she leads with humour and vulnerability.
 
Jenny finds her own sense of centering while mountain biking in the forest and enjoying her stand-up paddleboard. She is the founder of BodyBalanced Wellness, which offers registered Yoga Teacher Training Programs, both online & in person.

 

COST:

Cost for this adventure is $575 + HST for shared accommodation (up to 4 people in a cabin)

Quad-shared- $575 + HST per person

Semi-private – $650 + HST each (2 people per cabin)

Private – $825 + HST for a cabin to yourself

This includes all of your meals from Monday to lunch on Wednesday, all classes and accommodation.
