Life is busy, busier than normal over this past year. 
Missing out on time with friends? 
Maybe too much time with your family:)

No one can juggle everything without dropping a ball occasionally.  This getaway lets you rest from the stress of all that you do and allow yourself to be nurtured.  

This long weekend escape is an opportunity to take a break and recharge.  If you’re busy taking care of everyone else, you need time to yourself to step away and rest, reboot your system and take a couple days to think of no one but yourself.

A variety of classes are offered but they’re all optional.  Participate in whatever you feel like, sleep in if you want or book a massage.  Let this be time just for you!

No physical ability, no experience with yoga or meditation is required.

7:30 am     Sunrise Mindful Flow Yoga with Jenny
9:00           Breakfast
10:30         Guided Forest Hike
12:00         Mindfulness in Eating with Jenny
12:30 pm   Lunch and free time
3:30          Group Discussion & Mindfulness practice with Jenny
4:30          Happy Hips Yoga: releasing tension & resistance in body, mind and spirit with Jenny
6:00           Dinner
7:30           Yoga Nidra: exploring the 5 Koshas through guided meditation

7:30 am     Sunrise Mindful Flow Yoga with Lorraine
9:00           Breakfast
10:30         Group Discussion & Guided Journalling with Lorraine

2:30pm      Introduction to walking meditation

Meet Your Facilitators

Jenny Jackson has been immersed in Movement Education for more than 20 years. Jenny is a seeker of inner well-being, and she consciously aligns herself living with an open mind, an open heart, and embodies joy & vitality which is reflected in her welcoming & inclusive style of instruction. She teaches with a strong anatomical influence while still deeply honouring the classical roots of yoga. Jenny believes that feeling vital and in harmony with others & within our own selves is the primary goal (in life and in our bodies), and practice should reflect this.

Expect well-planned, responsible, creative & intuitive instruction within Jenny’s classes and retreats. Trust that your needs will be supported and a sense of inclusion & community will always be a focus. Jenny takes her offerings (but not herself) very seriously, so you can relax and be yourself as she leads with humour and vulnerability.

Jenny is a certified and experienced schoolteacher, yoga teacher, personal trainer, group fitness coach, and Health & Wellness coach. She is the founder of Body Balanced Wellness, which offers registered Yoga Teacher Training Programs, both online & in person.

 

Lorraine Murphy

My name is Lorraine! I am honoured to guide you through this retreat focussed on wellness, authenticty and laughter. I am full of energy, life and love.  A self proclaimed go getter…passionate about life and human connections. I have been teaching fitness for over 20 years and yoga for more than 10. My love of teaching and sharing pieces of myself with my students has never waivered. Yoga and fitness have allowed me to connect to myself, finding strength in times of extreme challenge and softness in others. As a mother of two and a strong leader, I am so grateful for the continued opportunities I have to inspire others to be authentically real and ready for change.

I am looking forward to creating magic together at Sugar Ridge!
