“The safe spaced offered at the “Sacred Heart retreat” co-facilitated by Darren, Ali and Mara was an uplifting and nourishing weekend. The combination of Mara’s gentle guidance in yoga, Ali’s soft yet strong cultivation and offerings of Qi, intertwined with Darren’s incredible creative ethereal words and music, left us feeling, no knowing, that everything is possible. Darren has an ease in his presence and a vulnerability that he shares unconditionally. Soul awakening, mindfulness, stillness, playfulness….breath….” Heart Blessings, Joel & Sandra
Qigong is an ancient Chinese self-care healing art that combines gentle movement, breath, meditation & visualization and is designed to bring awareness to the more subtle energy systems of the body, balance the mind and awaken the spirit.
The exercises focus on diaphragmatic breath work, feeling Qi (hands), self acupressure to heal and flowing movements that bring tangible feeling to the term energy. Blending breath, mind and movement to clear stagnation in the body, relax muscles or an overactive mind and relieve pain. This practice is a discipline of self awareness that asks practitioners to utilize their own abilities to tap into one’s deeply innate sense of healing power and potential.
Through guided meditation we draw on the universal elements around to strengthen the body, mind, spirit and reclaim our power of inner guidance.
