The Singing Body Listen to your body and find your voice. An aligned and open body brings a genuine and clear intention to your voice. Julia brings a wealth of movement practices and techniques to help you listen to and understand your body. Trish brings her many years of experience as a singer and teacher to hep you find ease and personal expression with your voice. Together they will lead you to connect more deeply to yourself. All bodies and voices are welcome. (no experience necessary)

Meet Your Facilitators

About Trish…

Patricia’s fifteen-year career has taken her across genres and continents. As a speaker of French, Spanish, and German, her concert repertoire is diverse.  She has sung with the Orpheus Chamber Orchestra and Don Byron Quartet, and has performed in venues ranging from London’s Royal Opera House to New York’s Le Poisson Rouge.  As a Resident Artist at Toronto’s Soulpepper Theatre for six years, her responsibilities included teaching, mentoring, producing, curating, performing, and developing new work.  As a songwriter she has worked with Dennis Lee, John Millard, Steven Page, Njo, Kong Kie, and as an interpreter she has premiered works by Omar Daniel, Christos Hatzis, and R. Murray Schaffer. She has six solo CDs and many collaborations. Recent projects include Matador: The Songs of Leonard Cohen and Deepest December, a Christmas Album.

About Julia…

Julia has been dancing and creating dances for as long as she can remember. She has performed around the world with Dancemakers and has created dances for theaters, rivers and cyberspace. She continues to explore her fascination with the human body in motion through dance, healing and teaching.
