Wellness Within: Mindful Movement and Meditation Retreat

This retreat has a focus on mindfulness practices to create a space of wellness from the inside out. Enjoy this time just for you as you experience practices in both movement and stillness, creating a blended balance of Yang & Yin energies in body, mind & spirit.
Your guide and instructor for this retreat, Jenny Jackson, embodies the essence of balance with her extensive professional background in both high energy fitness coaching, and also over 20 years of guiding yoga practices. Depending on your own unique needs, you may choose to participate in all, or perhaps, only some of the activities on the agenda. Rest assured that no matter what your current level of activity or ability, all of the practices are inclusive, and all participants are supported to ensure that everyone feels successful.
- Cleanse and nourish your body with yummy organic vegan meals, while you also nourish your soul.
- Come into physical balance with movement classes that will flex your muscles, as well as your mind & spirit.
- Create your resilient emotional balance with mindfulness-based meditation.
- Enjoy the beauty around you with time hiking the forest.

Throughout this retreat, you are invited to explore various forms of mindfulness meditations including sitting, walking and eating, as well as mindful movement through yoga and gentle exercise. No experience with yoga or meditation is necessary! This retreat is perfect if you’re curious about it but not sure where to start. Everything during your retreat is completely optional. This is YOUR time. If you need to sleep in, then skip the early morning yoga session. Allow this time to be the kindest gift you can ever give yourself, and honour your true needs.

7pm Group Circle & Yoga Nidra Guided Meditation

7:30am Sensory Meditation
8:00 Yin/Yang Yoga class…or sleep
9:00 Breakfast & free time
11:30 Mindful Strength Class (or hike the forest)
12:30 Lunch
1:30 Chakra Meditation
3:00 Free time: read, nap, explore the forest
4:30 Restorative Yoga
6:00 Dinner
7:30 Guided Meditation for Relaxation

9am Breakfast & free time to pack up your cabin
11:00 Metta (Loving Kindness) Meditation
12:30 Lunch- Mindful Eating

Meet Your Teacher
Jenny Jackson has been immersed in Movement Education for more than 20 years. Jenny is a seeker of inner well-being, and she consciously aligns herself living with an open mind, an open heart and embodies joy & vitality which is reflected in her welcoming & inclusive style of instruction. She teaches with a strong anatomical influence while still deeply honouring the classical roots of yoga. Jenny believes that feeling vital and in harmony with others & within our own selves is the primary goal (in life and in our bodies), and practice should reflect this.
Expect well-planned, responsible, creative & intuitive instruction within Jenny’s classes and retreats. Trust that your needs will be supported and a sense of inclusion & community will always be a focus. Jenny takes her offerings (but not herself) very seriously, so you can relax and be yourself as she leads with humour and vulnerability
