Expanding Into What’s Possible - A Woman’s Weekend Retreat Led by Dr. Laura Foster

Friday, May 22 – Sunday, May 24, 2020

Feel the unity of 25 women coming together for a weekend of self discovery, nature, nourishment and inner connection. This retreat is intended for the woman who wants space and time to exhale, move her body through daily yoga, practice mindfulness, laugh with like-minded women and deepen into self in a way that honours who she is while building the bridge to what she desires.

There is much to discover when you allow yourself the space and time to step back from the busyness and scheduling of our day-to-day life. Past participants of my retreats often discover that upon leaving these retreats, what once felt unclear, develops clarity and what felt unattainable, feels possible.

We are so much more than our roles, our stories and our pasts. During this retreat we will peel back the layers of who you believe you are in curiosity of what lies within. Along the way you may just find that place within yourself that feels grounded, peaceful, passionate and aligned with your greatest sense of self.

Let me ask,

❤️What do you want to birth, give light to and grow within your being?

❤️What do you want to let go of so that you can root into what you are calling in?

❤️Do you want to strengthen your sense of intuition and the relationship with self?

❤️Is there something that you know is bubbling up and you want greater clarity around?

❤️Do you crave a slower pace in your daily life – one that is less busy and chaotic – and you want to find a sense of balance between your schedule and your needs?

❤️Are you ready to open up to what’s waiting for you to acknowledge?

❤️Do you want a weekend that is filled with more curiosity, lightheartedness and spontaneity?

If you are desiring a weekend of introspection, yoga, meditation, mindfulness, deep love and respect for who you already are, this retreat is for you. Inhale the newness of spring and let go of what no longer serves you. If this retreat is calling to you, do not wait to register.
Space is limited and it sells out every year.

Accommodation:

Each of the beautiful cabins have cozy bedding, warm duvets topping the beds, and electric heat. Each cabin sleeps four, with either one double bed and two twins (occupancy 3) or four twin beds (occupancy 4). We offer shared, private & semi-private accommodation packages for this retreat.

There are no bathroom facilities or running water in the cabins, so you have to walk across the wildflower field to use the common bathrooms in the main centre, where you’ll find clean, well-designed private showers with plenty of hot water (less than a minute walk from any of the cabins).

Since the idea of a stay here is to unwind and reconnect, the cabins don’t have phones or TVs. You can access a cell phone signal in your cabin, although you may be more peaceful if you put away your phone for a few days. If you really need to get online, wi-fi is available in the main centre. I encourage you to leave your technology behind.

It is so incredibly quiet here you will definitely feel the pull of nature and the sense of getting away from it all.

Food:

Here at Sugar Ridge Retreat Centre you will never find yourself hungry.

This retreat includes all your meals – the food is plant based, organic and locally grown when possible. Simply put >> it’s delicious. The buffet-style breakfasts include hot dishes and fresh baking, along with fresh, organic fruit, cereal, breads, and jams. Coffee, tea, trail mix, and fresh fruit are available all day. Included meals are dinner Friday, B/L/D on Saturday and B/L on Sunday.

We dine as a group in the bright and airy dining room or on the outdoor patio when the sun is beaming down.

I hope you will join us. Please reach out if you have any questions.

I can’t wait to meet you (or reunite with you) and enjoy an incredible weekend together.

Our retreat group is the sole occupants of this property for the entire weekend. We encourage you to happily say yes to sharing accommodation with the other amazing women that are saying yes right alongside you. If you are used to having your own space please be aware that there are many private, quiet areas in the main centre and on the Sugar Ridge property and there will be ample time for you to find solitude if that is what you need and want during this retreat.
If you are a single registrant – awesome! We have found that over 50% of the women who sign up for our retreats are coming alone so do not worry if this is something you’ve never done before. We assure you – you won’t feel alone. You may arrive solo, but we will move throughout our weekend as a mini-tribe of beautiful souls. Many of the women you meet during this weekend will likely become life-long friends.

Having said all of this, if you require semi-private or private accommodation we may be able to accommodate your needs ($75-$160 surcharge). Please inquire.
